Rest in peace, Mark Raines

Class, I wanted to also share that we lost another classmate: Mark Raines. I can still see his smile in Mrs Portee's math class at Lake Stevens. He played for American High's football team. Another one gone too soon. Rest in peace, Mark!

Rest in peace, Bryce Dudley

Another member of our class has passed away. Will always remember how much Bryce and the rest of the Awesome Fawsome (Conrad Dobson, our late classmate Keevin Gilyard and Tim Forbes alongside Felecia (Scott) Jenkins, Priscilla (Smith) Woodson and Eleanor Humphrey under the direction of our beloved Roscoe Speed) made us laugh on and offstage. Where did the time go? Rest in peace, Bryce. PS A link to our 30th reunion is here. I just looked at it and appreciated seeing the smiles of all of us including Bryce.

I hope this page isn't only for obituaries. I don't keep it up very often because I am now on Facebook again with old friends from American High. Just learned last week via our Class of '85 classmate Luis Chaparro (remember his beautiful voice in the Choir?) that our classmate Warren Burney passed away two years ago. Sorry to have missed that. Rest in peace, Warren. I have known you since Mrs. Portee's math class at Lake Stevens. You were very kind and sort of shy. I saw you at our 10th and 20th reunion, if memory serves. Yesterday I learned we lost a classmate. Keevin Gillard passed away Friday, Aug. 25. I know him best from my time in the band, but also watching him perform in the Awesome Fawsome dance group with Bryce Dudley, Conrad Dobson and another classmate whose name I've forgotten. He was also in the choir. In fact, I just saw a Youtube clip that classmate Phillip Woeckner posted of the Christmas 1984 concert at American High in Hialeah, Florida. Keevin was, as usual, clowning playing a drummer as the choir sang "The Little Drummer Boy." He was a twin with his sister Kim, if memory serves. Prayers up for the family. Rest in peace, Classmate. Patriots Forever! Bahas forever!
